Curriculum
Build expertise at the intersection of language and AI
8 modules plus final project
15-20 hours per week
Language is at the heart of today’s most transformative AI technologies. This MSc combines linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, conversational AI, and large language models to help you understand not only how AI processes language, but why language itself matters. Through an interdisciplinary 180-credit curriculum, you’ll develop both the technical skills to build intelligent language technologies and the linguistic expertise to evaluate how they perform in real-world contexts.
Working with authentic language datasets and project-based assessments, you’ll learn to analyse, generate, and model human language while considering the ethical, cultural, and societal implications of AI. Graduates are prepared for careers spanning NLP, conversational AI, language technology, computational linguistics, and AI research. While the programme is not a professional licensure or certification pathway, it provides a strong academic foundation for industry roles and further doctoral study.
