How to apply
Flexible entry requirements
At Goldsmiths, we recognise that students’ journeys into degree programmes can be unique. We encourage applications from students with different backgrounds and experiences and may still consider you for a course if you do not meet the standard entry criteria.
Transfer students
Considering a transfer?
There are many reasons why you might start a degree programme and later decide to change course or institution. We welcome applications from students who wish to transfer to Goldsmiths, but there are some important things to consider before applying.
- Speak with your current institution:
We recommend discussing your plans with your personal tutor, or your university’s central support services. They can advise you on the academic and practical implications of transferring. - Visa considerations:
If you are a campus-based international student studying in the UK, and seek to study online, it is important to seek advice from your university’s immigration team before making any decisions. - Student finance:
Transferring may affect your Student Finance England loan arrangements. Make sure you understand any potential impact before applying. - Final degree classification:
Your final degree classification may be calculated differently across universities. For more information on how classifications are calculated at Goldsmiths, please refer to our academic regulations.
Course availability:
We accept up to 30 external transfer credits for our online programmes. Please note that places are only confirmed once students have been allocated their progression places. Contact your Student Recruitment Coordinator for more information.
Transferring to a different degree at Goldsmiths:
If you wish to transfer to an online degree from campus – or a different degree within your academic School, you must first consult with your Programme Convenor. If your School supports the move, then the transfer will be arranged via the Online Admissions Team.
International students studying on a visa must also consult the Immigration Advisory Service before proceeding.
