This programme is designed for learners without a formal academic profile to enter degree-level study directly. You do not need a background in computing. Whether you are a career changer or returning to education, this foundation provides the bridge you need.

Fees & funding

Dr Sarah Rauchas, Course Convenor, Foundation in Computer Science
Faculty spotlight: Dr Sarah Rauchas
Dr Rauchas is a Computer Scientist with a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and an MSc in Computer Engineering. She’s taught topics such as fundamental computer science, creative computing, data science, and thesis work. Dr Rauchas’ research includes robotics, computational linguistics, computer science education, and most recently, she has been engaging in data science as the programme convenor for the online MSc in Data Science.
