This programme challenges you to rethink the boundaries of AI, exploring the intersection of tech and creativity. You’ll take courses focused on the user experience of AI – studying creativity frameworks and combining theory and practice to put AI to work as a collaborator. Graduates go on to enter a wide range of high-growth industries like film, TV, music and culture – working in interactive design, production and animation.

Entry criteria:

Designed for graduates from the arts, design, media, or humanities disciplines who want to add artificial intelligence skills to their creative practice.  

You’ll have a BA or BSc Degree at level 2:1 or above in any subject.  

We do not assume that students will have programmed before. Expect to cover coding and maths, starting at secondary schooling level and above.

Designed for innovative graduates from quantitative backgrounds who want to add artificial intelligence and machine learning skills to grow their career in technology.   

You’ll have a BSc Degree at level 2:1 in a science, technology, engineering, mathematical or other relevant quantitative subject.  

OR 

A BSc Degree at level 2:2 in a quantitative subject and at least 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Your gateway to advanced computing.

Gain essential skills in mathematics, programming and computational theory needed to prepare for degree-level study in computing and related disciplines. You’ll take modules on the foundations of programming and mathematics for computing, to develop your understanding of computing concepts and coding languages. This will enhance your confidence in using technology in the workplace, or in future studies. Successful completion of this programme will also prepare you for BSc level Computer Science programmes on campus at Goldsmiths, and elsewhere, with the goal of entering the tech industry.

Entry criteria:

This programme has been designed for students without the formal academic profile to enter degree-level study in Computer Science and technology-related programmes directly. 

You’ll be able to demonstrate numeracy skills at, or equivalent to a grade 4 (grade C) in GCSE Mathematics.  

You must be 17 years of age or above.

Tuition fees

Goldsmiths, University of London is committed to offering competitive tuition for our online courses. Tuition fees can be paid in full, or instalments:

Artificial Intelligence and Creative Practice MScThe total estimated cost of the MSc is £16,000. You can pay in full or in instalments of £1,700 every module, and £2,400 for the dissertation (paid in two instalments over approximately 7 months).
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning MScThe total estimated cost of the MSc is £16,000. You can pay in full or in instalments of £1,700 every module, and £2,400 for the dissertation (paid in two instalments over approximately 7 months).
Foundation in Computer ScienceThe total estimated cost of this programme is £9,535. You can pay in full or in seven instalments of £1,192 and a final payment of £1,191. 

Fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change each academic year. The fees listed are for the academic year 2025-26.
